This comprehensive Safety Committee Training introduces Health and Safety Committee (HSC) members to the new Model WHS Legislation and the powers and functions of a HSC. Participants will learn how to work closely with Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) to improve workplace safety. They are also introduced to the Risk Management process and how to undertake workplace risk assessments, safety inspections and write, review and check compliance of Safe Work Method Statements and/or Safe Work Procedures.
Day two of the course covers the HSC’s role in undertaking Incident Investigations and how to communicate effectively in workplace, particularly when it comes to challenging unsafe behavior.

How is course content covered?
This course is delivered face-to-face in the classroom and includes a mix of theory, case studies, role plays and games. Due to the interactive nature of this course, the maximum class size is 15 participants.
Where are courses delivered?
This course is delivered onsite for corporate groups anywhere in Sydney. Our staff are also happy to travel to country areas. Interstate courses are possible subject to COVID-19 restrictions.
