Equip your team with essential skills through PeopleSafe Australia’s Nationally Recognised Manual Handling training. Our comprehensive 3.5 hour session is delivered by an experienced physiotherapist and safety professional and covers crucial aspects of Manual Handling such as compliance with safety legislation, planning a lift, risk assessment, and safe lifting practices.

Our Manual Handling training sessions are delivered directly at your workplace to small groups of up to twelve, ensuring the training is relevant and convenient. With a focus on practical demonstrations and exercises using workplace items, participants receive training contextualised to their job roles and environment. In addition to learning Manual Handling theory, each participant undergoes individual assessment, including short answer quizzes and practical evaluations, ensuring skills and knowledge have been acquired.

Courses can be delivered in the Sydney area. Our trainers can travel to regional NSW and interstate where multiple courses are requested.

Course currency
This Manual Handling training is aligned to the Nationally Recognised unit of competency, TLID0020 Shift Materials Safety using Manual Handling Methods. The course was released in November 2021, replaces TLID1001.

Who should attend Manual Handling training?

This course is designed for people who carry out manual handling tasks in their day-to-day work, and is relevant to all industries and workplaces. It is suitable for warehouse, construction and office based staff.

How is course content covered?

Manual Handling training is conducted face to face at your workplace. The course includes formal training, practical demonstration, practical exercises, group discussion and assessment.

Due to the practical nature of the course we allow for class sizes of up to a maximum of 12.

Entry Requirements, Support and Inclusion

This course is delivered in English and includes a written assessment. Participants will require comprehension, reading and writing skills to successfully complete the training. There are no other prerequisites or co-requisites.

How are participants assessed?

Assessment is undertaken via a range of methods including short answer quizzes, case studies, group
activities and group discussion in the workplace or simulated workplace.

Course Duration: 3.5 hours

Delivery methods: This training is delivered on site (face to face) for corporate groups.

On-site courses can be delivered in Sydney, NSW. Our Sydney based trainers can travel to regional NSW and interstate where multiple courses are requested. Travel fees apply for courses outside of the Sydney area.

Inclusions: Training with a qualified and experienced safety specialist, quality course notes, and assessment.

Certificate: Statement of Attainment (Nationally Recognised) in TLID0020 Shift Materials Safely using Manual Handling Methods.
