If you have experience in a safety role, then you may be eligible for the Certificate IV WHS via RPL, or recognition of prior learning.
What is Recognition of Prior Learning?
RPL is the formal recognition of your skills and knowledge which you might have acquired through:
-Formal or informal training.
-Work experience.
-Life experience.
-Your evidence of experience are assessed against the competencies of the qualification you wish to gain. Examples of evidence may comprise of training certificates, examples of work signed off by your line manager, minutes of meetings that you have participated in (to name a few).
How RPL work?
Applying to gain the Certificate IV in WHS qualification via RPL generally follows the process below:
-Contact us for a no obligation consultation.
-We explain the RPL process and provide you with a list of the relevant competencies you wish to RPL against.
-Pay the RPL fee.
-We assess your RPL evidence.
-If successful you receive your qualification.
-Additional training may be required. We provide flexible training if needed, including distance and on-line learning. Fees apply.
What is credit transfer?
Credit transfer is the process of recognising and awarding credit for prior successful completion of an equivalent unit of competency or module.
How does credit transfer work?
Credit transfer is applicable for equivalent Training Package Units only. To apply for credit transfer you must notify your course advisor prior to enrolment. You will need to submit a certified copy of your Qualification which will then be authenticated by PeopleSafe Australia.
