Manual Handling Training delivered at your workplace

Manual handling tasks are responsible for over 35% of compensationable injuries within Australian workplaces.

PeopleSafe Australia’s 3.5 hour Nationally Recognised Manual Handling course equips participants with skills and knowledge to shift loads using manual handling methods, including planning, risk assessment and relocating the load according to the plan. It includes compliance with safety legislation and principles of safe lifting. It also covers moving loads as part of day-to-day work, performed under some supervision, generally within a team environment.

This training is delivered by an experienced safety professional who is also a qualified physiotherapist.

How is course content covered?
Course content is delivered face-to-face at your workplace. It includes practical demonstrations and exercises utilising workplace items.

How are participants assessed?
Each participant will be individually assessed with short answer quizzes and practical assessment.

There are no pre-requisites or co-requisites for this course.

Course currency
This course, TLID0020 Shift Materials Safety using Manual Handling Methods released in November 2021, replaces the previous course course TLID1001.

Who should attend this training?

This course is designed for people who carry out manual handling in their day-to-day work, and is relevant to all industries and workplaces. It is suitable for warehouse, construction and office based staff.

Course Details:

Course Duration: 3.5 hours

Delivery methods: This training is delivered on site (face to face) for corporate groups.

On-site courses can be delivered in Sydney and across NSW. Our Sydney based trainers can travel to Melbourne, Brisbane, and Canberra.

Inclusions: Training with a qualified and experienced safety specialist, quality course notes, and assessment.

Certificate: Statement of Attainment (Nationally Recognised training) in TLID1001 Shift Materials Safely using Manual Handling Methods.
